Where to park

There is a small free car park just at the bottom of the Castle where you can leave your car. If it’s full there are few side streets as an option too.

Locals know it’s the spot to be as the castle ruins are located on a hilltop, so it offers an exceptional 360 view of the Cheshire and Staffordshire countryside. On colder months, grab yourself a thermo flask with a hot drink to warm up whilst you watch the sun rise and winter fog roll over the countryside. In the warmer months, it’s the perfect spot for a picnic and sun set watching.

The Castle was built by the Wilbraham family, who lived down at Rode Hall in Cheshire.
