  • We would always recommend avoiding spa facilities and treatments during the first trimester (12 weeks) and within the last 2 weeks before your due date. If you choose to book during this time you may be asked to sign an additional disclaimer or some services may be restricted or unavailable. We would be unable to offer any discounts/refunds in this case.

    Spa Treatments During Pregnancy:

After your first trimester (12 weeks) you can choose from either of our two specialist pregnancy treatments (Yummy Mummy OR Mama Love) or one of our Facials. The therapist will adapt the treatment to your needs by adjusting the position of the bed to ensure you are supported and comfortable throughout. If you book a treatment and are under your first 12 weeks you would be required to sign an additional disclaimer and the therapist may have to restrict the inclusions of the treatment further. We would always advise consulting your GP/Midwife if you are unsure. If you begin to feel lightheaded/too hot or nausea during your treatment please alert the therapist immediately so they can stop the treatment and ensure you are ok.

    Spa Access During Pregnancy:

It is entirely in the guest’s discretion which spa facilities you wish to use during your spa visit, however, we do give the below advisories and always suggest consulting your GP/Midwife if there is anything you are unsure of:

    - Avoid cold experiences such as the ice plunge bath, drench shower and bucket shower

    - When using any of the thermal experiences with temperatures higher than 40.c (this includes the saunas, steam & hydrotherapy pools) do not use them for extended periods of time longer than 5-10minutes and afterwards, sit and allow your body to come back down to its normal temperature, drinking plenty of water to keep yourself consistently hydrated

    - We do not recommend the use of the salt shed due to the continuous heat and use of pure essential oils

    - If at any time using any facility you become lightheaded or nausea alert a member of staff and move to a none heated space, sit and drink water
